At You Are, we believe every child deserves to see themselves reflected, celebrated, and affirmed.

What started as a simple book giveaway during the pandemic became something much bigger. While working with children and families in the community, our founder noticed a need for literacy tools that not only encouraged reading — but also reminded children that they are beautifully and intentionally made.

That moment sparked the creation of the “You Are” brand.

Through affirming children’s books, coloring books, and custom affirmation crayons, our mission is to pour confidence, culture, creativity, and self-love into the hearts of children everywhere. Our stories feature relatable characters like Olivia and Tahj, helping children embrace their hair, identity, uniqueness, and brilliance while building literacy and imagination.
